Stretch Mark Removal Surgery

Stretch marks can appear on males and females of all ages and they can sometimes look to stretch mark surgery to solve the problem.

During pregnancy and during weight gain, the skin is stretched to its fullest extent. Skin has a tendency to stretch because of its elasticity and can be stretched significantly. If however, it has stretched beyond its ability, the lower or deepest layers of skin will tear leaving the upper skin thin, and this will cause stretch marks.

When stretchmarks appear they are there permanently, and this is why so many people look to reliable methods for how to hide stretch marks.

Creams and gels can be found which are said to fade stretch marks, and while they are said to work for hiding stretch marks of the minor kind, deep scars will be more difficult to hide.

Some doctors say that stretch mark laser surgery will remove stretch marks, but at this point, there is nothing written or reported that can prove this. In fact, many plastic surgeons have found that laser surgery is definitely not effective is removing stretch marks.

If there is a reason to vaporize or break down tissue then laser stretch mark removal surgery is effective, however, laser surgery does not repair or heal tissue. Cellulite surgery as it is sometimes known is a serious medical procedure and should not be undertaken lightly.

Stretch marks are not limited to women as men are also vulnerable to stretch marks. In particular, men that have gained weight rapidly or had sudden muscle growth are susceptible to stretch marks. In both men and women the stretch marks are commonly found on the abdomen, thighs, buttocks and breasts.

There is also something called Puberty Stretch Marks that happen in young boys and girls. Girls will find red and purple lines on their breasts, thighs and buttocks while boys will find the marks on various parts of their bodies. Because these are young people there is no exception, these marks might be there to stay and this is why so many young people these days seek out stretch mark treatment.

Both men and women use crèmes of all sorts to try to remove or lighten stretch marks in lieu of stretch mark surgery, but they are not effective.

There are recommendations for the use of coco butter for stretch marks, but like all of the other crèmes and stretch mark remedies that presumably help stretch marks disappear this too is not always effective. Most doctors agree that one of the effective methods of removing stretch marks is stretch mark surgery.

Interestingly enough, there is one person that is touting the method of microdermabrasion for the removal of stretch marks. This method is the same one used in microdermabrasion for the face. It uses lotions with various abrasives to clear away the top layers of the skin. Our research has not been able to locate any hard evidence that this method works, although some people say they got great results.
